Thank you for visiting this site!

I am an Assistant Professor in Philosophy at the University of Nottingham. Before, I was an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoc Fellow at Humboldt University Berlin and an Associate Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of St. Andrews. My area of specialisation is Early Modern Philosophy (especially Spinoza).

I completed my Philosophy PhD at the University of Edinburgh (2021). My PhD thesis on Spinoza's metaphysics was co-supervised by Alexander Douglas and Pauline Phemister and  examined by Michael Della Rocca. My postdoctoral project was mentored by Dominik Perler and focused on Spinoza’s account of the place of mentality in nature.

I complement my academic work with public philosophy. I write journalistic articles in Proceso. I have also written in Aristegui Noticias, SinEmbargo, and Letras Libres and collaborated with the radio show Aristegui en Vivo.
